BRAIN FOG

2026 / cloth and wool roving / 20″ X 20″
Brain fog is a common postpartum experience that includes mental exhaustion, forgetfulness, difficulty expressing oneself, and slow processing time.
My own postpartum brain fog continued years into parenthood as it became a common symptom of my connective tissue disorder.
This brain was hand sewn over a period of six years and is largely formed from baby clothing. Materials include: newborn onesies, baby blankets, infant socks, toddler clothing, washcloths, and maternity shirts. The lower right hemisphere is made from wool roving.
