DISCOVER YOUR CREATIVE ECOSYSTEM
this is for you.
I’m tired of one size fits all advice.
There’s a simple reason it never works out (even if it’s true for the person giving it.) We are unique individuals who need different conditions to flourish.
Join this 10 week retreat to discover YOUR creative ecosystem.
This virtual retreat will consist of…
Weekly email prompts
Online community
Secret hashtag to connect on Instagram
Printable workbook for the final week
how does it work?
Each week we’ll explore an element of creativity through the lens of nature. There will also be a reflective prompt and a microadventure to put thought into action.
Here are some examples…
Noticing what gives you energy and what drains you.
Experimenting with structure and freedom.
Aligning your creative process with seasonal rhythms.
I’ll also be posting discussion prompts in our online community so you can connect with kindred spirits along the way.
WHO IS it for?
This is for you if you…
Want to dig deeper into your creative process.
Are ready to get curious about what fuels your creativity.
Are willing to try small shifts to make big discoveries.
This retreat is for:
Artists & crafters.
Writers & photographers.
Freelancers & hobbyists.
Even if you are brand new to making you are welcome here. I believe every human has a creative spirit.
WHO IS IT NOT FOR?
This retreat is NOT for you if…
You want “tough love.” (This is a gentle journey.)
You want easy answers. (The answers are deep inside of you. This is hard work.)
You want quick results. (Reflective practice takes time and dedication. This is just the beginning.)
You want business coaching. (This retreat is focused on nurturing your creative spirit. Not making a successful business. You may find some topics overlap with or even serve your creative business, but the focus is on your inner artist. This retreat community will not hold space for business plans, sales goals, or marketing strategy. There are lots of other places for that.)
WHEN do we start?
Mark your calendars for September 6!
A WORD FROM My BETA TESTER
weekly topics
Here’s a peek if you’re curious what we’ll be covering. Each theme is tied to nature.
WEEK ONE - Kindness
WEEK TWO - Energy
WEEK THREE - Structure
WEEK FOUR - Body
WEEK FIVE - Inspiration
WEEK SIX - Mind
WEEK SEVEN - Input & Output
WEEK EIGHT - Reflection
WEEK NINE - Seasons & Cycles
WEEK TEN - Connection & Purpose
1:1 Coaching ADD ON
If you want extra support you can add a 1:1 “Pocket Coach” package.
This is a weekly exchange of audio messages throughout the program. I love this format because it’s so flexible. The busiest person can find time to send and receive a five minute voice message. Over ten weeks this adds up to more 1:1 time than a one hour Zoom call.
And you don’t even have to brush your hair. 😉
The time in between check ins also means there’s plenty of space to put things into practice. So we can go deeper than we could with a traditional video call. I’m here to answer your questions, offer encouragement, and provide gentle accountability (again, I’m not a “tough love” coach.)
Limited spots available.

What is the time commitment?
This retreat can expand or contract to fit your schedule. You’ll need 15-30 minutes each week, but they don’t have to be consecutive. Or you can use this retreat to set aside more time for yourself and that’s great too. You will get out of it what you put in.
how will the community work?
The community is hosted through a free app called Mighty Networks. It is completely optional, but a brilliant way to meet kindred spirits. It can also provide a bit of gentle accountability if you to commit to showing up and sharing each week.
do you offer sliding scale pricing?
Yes! It is important to me that this retreat is accessible regardless of income status. Scholarships are available to those who need them including students, educators, disabled, chronically ill, or otherwise low income individuals.
what about a payment plan?
If you would prefer monthly payments email me at sarahdshotts@gmail.com and I’ll be happy to set that up!
what iF i cant keep up?
No worries! You’ll have everything in your email inbox so you can go at your own pace. This is meant to be a reflective retreat and not a source of stress.
Do i have lifEtime access?
Yes and no. I haven’t used this as a selling point because I’m not sure if I will offer this retreat a second time. But if I do you are welcome to join in again at no cost. You can also save the materials and run a self led retreat as many times as you like.
why is the workbook released on the final week?
The workbook is a tool to reflect on the whole retreat and what you’ve discovered about yourself and the creative process. The prompts will help you put together all of the pieces of your creative ecosystem.
WHAT ARE YOUR COACHING QUALIFICATIONS?
My academic education includes two degrees and eight years employed as a university instructor. During my undergraduate studies I took all of the creative classes I could cram into my schedule. I ended up graduating with equal credit hours in fine and performing arts (even though I wasn’t technically a double major.) My masters degree explored drama outside of traditional contexts. This included educational and interdisciplinary settings. Since then I’ve invested in continuing education through classes and workshops every year.
My coaching also draws on my own creative practice which is expansive and multidisciplinary. I have twenty years of experience in freelance creative work in both fine and performing arts. I have also drafted several novels and am in the process of self publishing my first. This range of experience gives me a useful perspective on how the creative process works across mediums.
Don’t see your question?
but, you don’t have to take my word for it…
